About the Role
This is an international bank, nimble enough to act, but big enough for impact. Seeking a Director to lead and expand the Real Estate business in Australia. This is a pivotal time to join the Australian franchise. Identified as a key growth area within the global strategy, with a strategic plan to increase the business, with a focus on driving revenue.
Client Focus
Primarily Institutional Property clients, Financial Sponsors, and Global Corporates, plugging them into the Bank's regional and global network.
Asset Class
Broad remit including data centres for top-tier names.
Key Responsibilities
* Origination & Execution : Formulate business strategy and execute origination to identify transactions and cross-sell opportunities. You must be able to originate and execute end-to-end, with a deep understanding of documentation and financing structures.
* Structuring : Deliver well-structured, returns-accretive, and risk-optimal financing solutions. Engage with senior stakeholders to structure loans, bonds, and financing risk solutions.
* Leadership : Build trusted relationships with Promoters, C‑Suite, and Sponsors. Lead by example to build the appropriate culture and values within the team.
About You
We are looking for a candidate who understands the dynamics of working for an international bank and can navigate international working hours.
Experience
Minimum 8 years in a commercial or investment banking role focused on Commercial Real Estate.
Background
Ideally from an international bank. We are open to candidates from the buy‑side, funds, or domestic banks if you can demonstrate a track record of working with top‑tier names and complex transactions.
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of primary credit markets, valuation, and risk assessment. Solid financial evaluation and Excel abilities are essential.
Attributes
Strong work ethic, detail‑oriented, and able to deliver under time pressure.
