Housing for a 3-4 bedroom house, 4WD vehicle primarily for business use

District allowance, 4 weeks annual leave and Christmas/New Year shutdown Annual Travel Payment 17.5% leave loading 38-hour week with flexible timetable

The Board delegates responsibility for the management and day-to-day operations of the organisation to the Executive Manager. The authority to carry out these responsibilities is exercised in accordance with the direction and policies established by the Board. The Executive Manager also provides strategic advice and operational support to the Board to assist it in fulfilling its governance responsibilities.

In this role, the Executive Manager:

* Provides professional and informed guidance to the Board on current and future initiatives, programs and organisational activities.
* Periodically evaluates the performance of the organisation and reports outcomes, risks and improvement strategies to the Board.
* Provides general oversight of all MAC activities, manages day-to-day operations and ensures the organisation operates efficiently and effectively.
* Maintains a work environment that is inclusive, supportive and professional.
* Recruits, leads and oversees qualified and experienced staff to deliver contracted services and key service delivery areas to a high standard.
* Works closely with the Board Executive (Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and Treasurer) to enable the Board to fulfil its governance functions and to recognise and value Board members' contributions.
* Ensures the Board has access to high-quality information and expert advice to support fully informed decision‐making.
* Assists the Chairperson in maintaining a strategic focus for the Board.
* Initiates and develops cooperative relationships with key stakeholders across the community, region and State.
* Identifies, sources and applies for funding and grant opportunities to strengthen organisational sustainability and growth.

Selection criteria

* Leadership and GovernanceDemonstrated experience in senior leadership, with the ability to work effectively with a Board.Proven capacity to provide strategic, professional and informed advice to support sound governance and decision‐making.Experience supporting a Chairperson and Board Executive to maintain a clear strategic focus.
* Operational ManagementStrong experience overseeing day‐to‐day organisational operations.Demonstrated ability to implement Board direction, policies and strategic plans.Experience evaluating organisational performance and reporting outcomes, risks and improvements to a governing body.
* People and CultureDemonstrated ability to recruit, lead and manage qualified staff across multiple service areas.Commitment to maintaining an inclusive, supportive and professional work environment.Experience building a positive organisational culture focused on accountability and service excellence.
* Financial and Resource ManagementExperience managing budgets, funding agreements and contractual obligations.Demonstrated success in identifying, sourcing and securing grants or external funding.Ability to ensure organisational sustainability through sound financial oversight and planning.
* Stakeholder and Community EngagementProven ability to initiate and maintain cooperative relationships with key stakeholders across community, regional and State levels.Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the organisation professionally.Experience working within or alongside Aboriginal communities (highly desirable if relevant to MAC context).
* Strategic Thinking and Organisational Growth Demonstrated capacity to identify emerging opportunities and risks.Experience contributing to or leading strategic planning processes.Ability to align operational activity with long‐term organisational goals.
* Experience working within not-for-profit, community-controlled or Aboriginal organisations.
* Understanding of relevant regulatory, compliance and reporting frameworks.
* Demonstrated knowledge of grant acquittals and contract management.
