Clinical Nurse – General Surgical & Paediatrics
* 8 or 12 hour shifts – no on‐call
* Full time role (Monday to Friday) with occasional weekends
About the role
Brisbane Private Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Registered/Clinical Nurse with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering high quality patient care to join our established General Surgical & Paediatric unit on a full time basis.
We are a 32‐bed, fast‐paced, high‐turnover ward specialising in ENT/Orthopaedics/Plastics and paediatrics (both adult and paeds), along with other general surgical specialities. Having many surgical specialities, this is an ideal role for a surgical nurse wanting to use and grow their skills.
Responsibilities
* Adhering to ACORN standards and hospital policy and procedure
* Providing evidence‐based nursing care
* Providing clinical expertise and depth to theplastics theatre teams
* Liaising with the multidisciplinary team
* Ensuring patient and staff safety
* Ensuring eLearning and mandatory training is completed on a regular basis
* Liaising with surgeons regarding equipment
* Minimum 5 years acute hospital experience as a Registered/Clinical Nurse
* Current Registration with AHPRA
* Commitment to quality patient care
* Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Works well independently and within a team
