We are seeking a motivated and qualified Grade Control Technician to support our geological teams and contribute to the collection and analysis of geotechnical data.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Supporting geological teams in exploration and grade control activities.
* Assisting with sampling processes, including sample collection, preparation, and assay validation.
* Contributing to blast grade estimation and reconciliation processes.
* Performing core shed duties such as core handling, logging, sampling, sawing, and maintaining housekeeping standards.
* Assisting geologists and surveyors with field sampling activities when required.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Higher Secondary Diploma (NATIN/AMTO) Mining (Mijnbouw), or a related field.
* At least 2–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in open-pit mining or grade control operations.
* Strong knowledge of sampling techniques, grade control procedures, and geotechnical data collection.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently in the field and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Willingness to work at our Brokopondo mine site on a rotational schedule (14 days on / 7 days off).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Dutch and English.
If selected, you will be required to submit a Police Clearance Certificate (“Bewijs van Goedgedrag”). Please initiate the request at your respective District Commissariat.
