About the Role
We are an innovative Ed-Tech non-profit organisation based in Australia, dedicated to transforming education through cutting-edge technology.
We are seeking a talented UI/UX Designer with deep Figma expertise and strong research capabilities to join our dynamic, mission-driven team.
With wireframes, existing Figma files and templates, you'll collaborate on mobile-first designs to maximize teacher and school sign-ups, while refining user journeys and improving conversion performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design and refine UI/UX for web, tablet, and mobile platforms using Figma.
Maintain organised, scalable design systems and frameworks within Figma.
Conduct market and industry trend research to inform design decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
Perform industry standards analysis to align with best practices in usability and accessibility.
Collaborate with internal departments to gather design requirements and translate them into actionable user flows and interfaces.
Work closely with the Head of Technology and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with development constraints.
Communicate progress effectively and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders.
Design with a mobile-first approach, ensuring responsive and seamless user experiences across devices.
Utilise standard React UI components where applicable for design consistency and streamlined implementation.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality outputs.
Requirements
Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in UI/UX design with a focus on Figma and responsive, mobile-first projects.
Experience: Proven experience in research-based design, CRO-focused design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Figma Mastery: In-depth knowledge of Figma frameworks, components, and the latest features/plugins to enhance workflow efficiency.
Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough market, competitor, and user research to inform design strategy.
Communication: Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Availability: Ability to work during 8am–6pm AEST, ensuring sufficient overlap with our Australian team for collaboration and feedback.
Technical Understanding: Clear understanding of how design translates to development, especially within React environments.
Organisation: Experience maintaining well-structured Figma files and libraries following industry best practices.
