As a Senior Network Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with a group of highly skilled professional engineers and external vendors to deliver high-quality network services supporting business-critical and mission-critical infrastructure.
You will be responsible for collaborating with IT colleagues to provide daily operational support, working with internal SMEs and external vendors to design, implement, and maintain high-performing and secure network infrastructure.
Additionally, you will provide specialist network advice and technical project services, supporting key business projects, perform proactive maintenance across all in scope systems, ensuring systems are up to date, stable and secure.
And you will build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with IT colleagues to provide daily operational support.
* Work with internal SMEs and external vendors to design, implement, and maintain high-performing and secure network infrastructure.
* Provide specialist network advice and technical project services, supporting key business projects.
* Perform proactive maintenance across all in scope systems, ensuring systems are up to date, stable and secure.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* More than 4 years of experience in a large corporate enterprise network encompassing the following:
o Cisco enterprise networking technologies.
o Network monitoring and management tools (SolarWinds).
o Next Generation Firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
o Enterprise wireless networking (Aruba Networks).
o Network automation tools (e.g., Cisco DNA Centre).
* Understanding of network switching and routing as related to Unified Communications.
* Practical knowledge of application and network infrastructure protocols.
* Preferred Experience:
o Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Poly Video Conferencing solutions.
o Strong understanding of Enterprise Voice and Call Centre technologies.
* Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in computer science, Network, Telecommunications or Information Technology, or combination of education and related experience.
o Cisco CCNP, CCNP wireless (or similar vendor certifications).
o ITIL certification preferred.
