The Opportunity

This is a unique opportunity for a hands-on risk practitioner to play a key role in shaping and embedding best-practice risk and continuity frameworks across a national business with a strong social purpose, and deliver on its mission to create vibrant, safe communities for older Australians.
Your Impact
1. Lead the ongoing development and embedding of Aveo's Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including the Risk Appetite Statement and divisional and enterprise risk registers.
2. Facilitate engaging risk and resilience workshops, as well as training and scenario-based planning sessions across all business functions.
3. Prepare and deliver clear, actionable risk reporting and insights to key stakeholders, including the General Manager – Risk and Safety, Executive Leadership Team, and the Board.
4. In partnership with external consultants, oversee the design and implementation of a whole-of-business Business Resilience Framework, encompassing business continuity and crisis management planning.
5. Champion a culture of risk awareness and resilience by delivering tailored training and effective communication across the organisation.
What You'll Bring
6. Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, with at least 3 years ideally in enterprise risk management or within a Big 4 consulting firm.
7. A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law, Risk, or a related discipline (preferred).
8. Experience in property, real estate, accommodation, or aged care sectors is advantageous, but not essential.
9. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
10. Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving ability, with sound business judgment.
11. High level of integrity, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.
12. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
13. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including report and business writing.
