A leading international defence technology provider is expanding its Australian operations and delivering mission‑critical airborne capabilities. With a strong global footprint and a growing local presence, this organisation develops advanced aviation solutions across ISR, mobility, and specialised mission systems. Due to continued growth, a Mission System Technician is required to support the integration, sustainment, and readiness of airborne systems.
Your New Role
As the Mission System Technician, you will play a hands‑on technical role ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of airborne ISR mission systems. You will:

Configure and troubleshoot TCP/IP networks, routing, VLANs, and secure communications links.
Support integration and testing of new hardware and software packages.
Provide technical reports, updates, and feedback to engineering and sustainment teams.
Operate independently in field or deployed environments; travel up to 50% required.
What You'll Need to Succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of relevant technical experience (ISR, aviation systems, electronics, mission systems).
Minimum 3 years' experience supporting airborne ISR systems in deployed or field environments.
Strong understanding of radar modes, RF systems, IP networking, mission computers, and sensor integration.
Proficiency using RF diagnostic equipment and working from schematics and wiring diagrams.
Ability to conduct system administration in both Windows and Linux environments.
Strong technical communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Australian Citizenship and holding AGSVA NV1 security clearance.
What You'll Get in Return
You will join a rapidly growing organisation delivering a nationally significant airborne ISR capability. You'll gain exposure to advanced mission systems, overseas collaboration, and opportunities to develop within a high‑performance technical environment.
