Overview
The Psychologist Grade 2b/Grade 3 role at The Royal Children's Hospital is an exciting opportunity for a skilled psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Department of Adolescent Medicine. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality clinical care to adolescents with restrictive eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID).
About the Role
This part-time fixed-term position involves working 30.4 hours per fortnight within the Eating Disorder Service. You will be responsible for providing individual and family assessments, interventions, and therapies in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Additionally, you will maintain accurate clinical documentation and record client contacts and outcome measures to support team activity levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Purposefully engage patients and their families in mental health care, as per the Eating Disorders Service model.
* Maintain clinical documentation, records, and data according to discipline-specific guidelines and RCH procedures.
* Complete mandatory client contacts, outcome measures, and report activity levels to meet team KPI obligations.
* Work collaboratively with other clinical disciplines within the team and external services to deliver high-quality inter-disciplinary care.
Requirements
* Hold a Master of Psychology degree qualification from an APAC-accredited course or university.
* Be registered with AHPRA and the Psychology Board of Australia as a Psychologist.
* Have relevant postgraduate qualifications or experience in child and adolescent mental health.
* Demonstrate experience in evidence-based treatment for adolescent restrictive eating disorders.
* Meet the required standards for Board-approved supervisor status.
