The Role
The Industry Experience Placement (IEP) program provides undergraduate and postgraduate students currently enrolled in a relevant Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree the opportunity to complete an industry placement component as part of their degree.
The IEP program is a specialist program designed for placements of 12 months, or the full academic year.
If you have a lesser requirement, the Summer Vacation Placement program is recommended.
The IEP provides successful applicants with the prospect to gain industry experience in a large research organisation.
Successful applicants are supervised by DSTG staff, who work closely with the university to ensure that academic requirements are met.
Placements will commence in March 2026, however alternate start dates may be able to be negotiated.
