The Role
In this role you'll be given the opportunity to use your creativity, introduce new and unique offerings to the wine list and take charge of the wine program for one of Merivale's most treasured venues.
Working closely with the Head Sommelier, Restaurant Management and broader group Sommelier team, you'll lead and inspire our floor staff and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest service we well as driving revenue and cost results.
This is a critical role with Merivale's sommelier group, you'll set the standard for world-class service and share your wine knowledge with esteemed guests to ensure their experience at Fred's is one they'll never forget.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
* previous Sommelier experience within a similar high‐end restaurant environment.
* enjoy working with extensive wine lists.
* be an inspirational team leader with a proven track record of developing and mentoring the other Sommeliers within your team.
* have a thirst for knowledge and growth.
* a passion for providing the customer with an outstanding experience.
