* Part-time (0.2FTE), fixed term opportunity for three years
* Exciting opportunity to be a Research Support Officer within the Sydney Medical School
* Base Salary from $103,185 (pro - rata) + 17% superannuation
About the opportunity
This is a unique opportunity for a Research Officer to contribute to important research focusing on improving the quality of the Medical Program (MD) at Sydney University.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* collaborate with key members of the Medical Program leadership to develop research project plans and assist in development of research objectives
* provide knowledge and project management to support and collaborate with academic and professional staff to support the research projects
* contribute to research activities, assisting with designing research projects, recruiting for surveys and interviews/focus groups, undertaking mixed method research studies, analysing data and reporting findings
* undertake group or individual interviews of relevant staff/students, extract key themes, undertake qualitative data analysis
* ensure accurate collation of research data, draw insights and analyse, report information from the research undertaken
* facilitate effective communication and good working relationships amongst key stakeholder groups and team members.
About you
* two to five years of experience in research in the field of medical education or a related field.
* competency in mixed methods research and use of statistical software such as SPSS/R or similar and qualitative data analysis software such as NVivo.
* project management experience in a research environment
* demonstrated experience working across multidisciplinary teams and ability to build effective relations with colleagues and clients
* experience in scholarly writing, able to facilitate, review and write for journals
* excellent time and workload management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively, manage multiple tasks to meet deadlines and achieve required outcomes
* experience/background in a health-related field highly desirable
* have Bachelor degree - additional postgraduate qualification in health professional education or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
