Court Security Manager
About the Role:
The Court Security Manager is responsible for ensuring a safe and efficient court operation. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Liaise with court officials to guarantee compliance with contractual requirements.
* Ensure that necessary resources are available in the court and custody areas.
* Inspect and monitor court operations to ensure adherence to procedures.
* Maintain a high standard of service delivery while prioritizing staff welfare, safety, and security.
* Verify all warrants according to documented procedures.
* Conduct regular inspections of the court premises to assess the effectiveness and tidiness of security systems.
* Develop and maintain emergency procedures and promote staff awareness.
* Monitor incident reports within specified timeframes.
* Set clear objectives and direction for direct reports.
* Represent the organization at court user group meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* A Certificate III in Corrective Practice or a related field.
* Control and restraint certification.
* Senior First Aid and CPR qualification or equivalent.
* The ability to read and interpret correspondence, legislation, and regulations.
* High-level computer skills and report writing capabilities.
* Proven experience in a leadership position.
* A collaborative management style and the ability to build effective working relationships.
* Demonstrated experience in an escort custody operational environment.
* A strong focus on safety and security awareness.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and concise reports.

Additional Requirements:
* An Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen.
* Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Federal Police Check, Criminal History Check, and Working with Children Check.
* Willingness to undergo 6 weeks of full-time training in Perth prior to commencement in Carnarvon (flights and accommodation provided).
* Manual driving license - desirable (HR, MR license or F Extension category highly desirable for operating vehicles carrying passengers).
* Ability to maintain a reasonable level of fitness to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
