I am working with an excellent client based in Newcastle who are looking for a full-time permanent Payroll Officer. They are a well-known company that spans all major states and territories in Australia. Their capabilities span urban and remote projects, servicing both public and private sectors with a reputation for managing highly complex and hazardous environments.
Base pay range
A$90,000.00/yr - A$100,000.00/yr
Role
Oversee payroll and time management systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with legislative requirements and company policies. Process end-to-end payroll, including all payments, deductions, and statutory obligations. Maintain accurate employee records, including onboarding, terminations, salary adjustments, and leave management. Respond to payroll-related enquiries and generate reports as required. Prepare payroll reconciliations, reports, and financial summaries to support management decision-making and compliance. Contribute to payroll and finance projects, identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
Key Requirements
3+ years end-to-end payroll processing experience
Keypay software experience strongly regarded
Exposure to Construction EBAs and Awards strongly regarded
Permanent Residency or Citizenship
2 days hybrid structure
