Maryville Company – Quality Control Specialist
Schedule: Fri, Sat, Sun – 6am to 6:30pm
Pay: $19.00/hr
Essential Functions
1. Review and interpret build sheets to validate trailer accuracy through each production phase.
2. Fabrication: Confirm that frame dimensions, welds, and structural elements meet specifications.
3. Finishing: Ensure that paint, components, and hardware are correctly installed, aligned, and fully accounted for per build sheet requirements.
4. Inspect, test, and measure products for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments, gauges, and jigs.
5. Document and report defects; update and maintain the Quality Reporting System accurately and in a timely manner.
6. Communicate quality issues and nonconformities to management or department leads as necessary.
7. Provide recommendations for correction, repair, or process improvement.
8. Tag trailers with missing parts or defects using the company's designated code system.
9. Adjust, clean, or repair products or equipment to correct defects found during inspections.
10. Disassemble and remove defective parts or components as required.
11. Ensure compliance with all safety rules, regulations, policies, and quality procedures.
12. Perform additional duties and participate in cross‑training activities as assigned.
Requirements
* Work daily overtime, when required, to complete the day's scheduled assignments.
* Cross‑train in other departments to assist where and when needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Specialized Knowledge
Knowledge of mathematics: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, fractions/decimal conversion, and ability to read and use tape measures, levels, and jigs.
