Make a Splash with YMCA SA - Teaching Life Skills, One Stroke at a Time!
Do you want to develop key coaching and leadership skills whilst teaching a lifelong skill? Based at Purruna Spencer Newton Centre in Torrens Park, you'll be part of a community hub where you can help participants of all ages develop their swimming ability, develop water safety skills and thrive in a fun and supportive environment. You'll join a dynamic and vibrant team with other role models to deliver safe, engaging and high-quality lessons while ensuring our swimming program runs smoothly.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Deliver engaging and safe swimming lessons that build confidence and water safety skills
* Support students' progress through stroke development and structured lesson plans
* Create a welcoming, inclusive environment that supports students and families
* Adapt lessons to meet diverse needs, using patience, innovation and encouragement
* Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the overall success of the Swim School
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety or Swim Australia Teacher accreditation or equivalent.
* HLTAID009 Perform CPR or equivalent.
* RRHAN-EC Masterclass – Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education & Care.
