Job Overview
As a Senior Lawyer, you will be responsible for managing allocated legal tasks within specified timeframes, working closely with clients and colleagues to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor of Laws degree and admission, or eligibility for immediate admission as a barrister, solicitor, or legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
* A minimum of 3 years post-admission experience in public and administrative law, human rights, health regulation, knowledge of the Queensland Health portfolio legislation, or corporate and commercial law.
This role involves providing expert advice on enforcement activities and conducting prosecutions under the Tobacco and Other Smoking Products Act 1998 and related legislation. Prior regulatory/prosecutions experience is highly regarded.
