Retail Credit Analyst – Hyundai Capital Australia
Hyundai Capital Australia (HCAU), the Australian subsidiary of Hyundai Capital Services Korea, is seeking an experienced Retail Credit Analyst to join our Operations team and review and decide retail credit applications.
You'll have a great deal of ownership and autonomy in this role, helping us continuously scale and improve our internal processes. You'll work collaboratively with teams such as Sales and Customer Service to ensure our Credit & Settlements function runs efficiently and enables a best‑in‑class experience for our customers.
What you'll do
* Review loan applications and decide credit override requests within established turn‑time requirements.
* Support underwriting system development by completing test plans, tracking progress, ensuring stakeholders are updated, and escalating issues in accordance with the set plan.
* Underwrite loan contracts that meet regulatory standards and review verification items such as proof of income and identification documents.
* Monitor dealer performance activity and maintain dealer watch list.
* Ensure issues are escalated in accordance with internal policies.
* Support other functions within the Operations department with pre‑launch case testing as required.
* Assist with the drafting of process and procedure documents and support training for new team members.
* Demonstrated previous experience working as a Credit Analyst or in a similar position for ideally 2+ years.
* Thorough funding and loan documentation knowledge.
* Thorough knowledge of the credit/review process and credit analysis.
* FiServ/Defi knowledge preferred (or knowledge of automated credit decision systems).
* Thorough knowledge of compliance laws as related to retail consumer lending, contracting and funding.
* Demonstrated strength in organizational, planning and analytical abilities.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
Qualifications
* Experience working as a Credit Analyst or similar position for at least 2+ years.
* Thorough knowledge of funding and loan documentation.
* Proficient knowledge of credit/review process and credit analysis.
* Knowledge of automated credit decision systems preferred.
* Knowledge of compliance laws related to retail consumer lending, contracting and funding.
* Strong organizational, planning and analytical abilities.
* Excellent stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills.
