We are seeking dedicated and reliable Support Workers to join a Supported Independent Living (SIL) team supporting a participant in a shared living arrangement.
Supports are delivered Monday to Sunday across the following shifts:
* 6:00am – 2:00pm
* 2:00pm – 10:00pm
* Sleepover shifts
The participant is a male adult living with intellectual disability, epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder and anxiety. He communicates verbally and enjoys strong social connection, humour, routine and meaningful engagement. Supports focus on maintaining daily living skills, personal care, medication support, community access, emotional regulation and positive behaviour support in line with an established PBS plan.
The role requires workers who are patient, observant and engaging, and who can provide calm, structured support while promoting independence and dignity. You’ll assist with personal care and grooming, meal preparation and mealtime support, medication administration, household tasks, community outings, and maintaining consistent routines. Clear communication, positive reinforcement and proactive preparation for changes are key to supporting the participant’s wellbeing.
This is a great opportunity for workers who enjoy relationship-based support, value teamwork, and are comfortable working within structured care plans and compliance requirements in a SIL environment.
What You’ll Bring:
* At least 6 months’ experience in disability support
* A valid driver’s licence and your own vehicle
* Current paid employee Blue Card
* Current paid employee Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Clearance
* Current First Aid & CPR certification
* Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willingness to complete before starting)
* Full Australian working rights
* The ability to work both independently and within a supportive team
* A smartphone with internet access
* Two recent professional references (from supervisors)
