Tertiary Educator - Social Work
The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our team in the Higher Education division. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to develop a substantial teaching portfolio in the field of Social Work and contribute to the growth and success of our institution. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching, assessing, and developing subjects in the online Bachelor of Social Work program.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Delivering high-quality teaching sessions and tutorials.
* Creating engaging study materials, including study guides, online lectures, and subject-specific resources.
* Providing academic support to students through various channels, including face-to-face, phone, and email.
* Fostering student engagement and encouraging active participation in their studies.
* Leading residential school sessions for relevant subjects and assessing students during these events.
* Reviewing student assessments according to established policies and procedures.
* Identifying students who require additional support and developing tailored learning plans.
* Maintaining subject sites on our Learning Management System.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* A Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
* Proven teaching experience in a tertiary setting.
* Experience in curriculum development and teaching material creation.
* Able to coordinate and deliver tertiary subjects effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ongoing professional development in your area of expertise.
* Eligibility for Australian Association of Social Workers membership.
