Join a small, successful architecture firm where your work truly makes an impact. We are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant who would be able to take ownership of the business' day-to-day finance operations and bookkeeping. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, perfect for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit, creative team environment.
Your new role
* Prepare and send invoices, keep records up to date, and set up new projects in MYOB.
* Upload invoices to supplier portals and make sure purchase orders are correct.
* Work closely with project managers to track claims and ensure everything lines up with project deliverables.
* Prepare ABA files for payments and send remittance advice.
* Weekly bank and credit card reconciliations.
* Process staff expenses and vehicle mileage claims.
* Prepare payroll fortnightly, including reports and payslips.
* Handle BAS, IAS, and superannuation contributions through STP.
* Provide regular aged receivables/payables and P&L reports to the Director.
* Assist with onboarding new staff in MYOB.
What you'll need to succeed
* Experience in a bookkeeping or similar role, ideally within a small business environment.
* System knowledge of MYOB and Xero is ideal.
* Understanding of BAS processes is essential.
* Experience within the property or real estate sector is beneficial.
