Our client is a large property developer based in the Inner Suburbs. Following a strong period of growth, they are looking for a motivated Financial Accountant to join their fast‐paced, high‐performing and expanding finance team in a newly created role.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will have a strong focus on financial reporting, statutory compliance, month‐end processes and detailed financial analysis. Working closely with senior finance leaders and operational stakeholders, you will provide accurate and timely financial information and support continuous improvement across reporting and processes.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial and management reports
* Month‐end and year‐end close processes
* Balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger integrity
* Preparation of statutory accounts and audit support
* BAS, payroll tax and other compliance reporting
* Variance analysis and performance commentary
* Support with project and development feasibility analysis
* Assisting with process and reporting improvements
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be CA or CPA qualified (or near completion) with strong technical accounting foundations. This role would be particularly well suited to first movers from mid‐tier or business services environments looking to transition into a commercial property development setting.
You will bring strong attention to detail, sound technical capability and the ability to manage competing deadlines. You are comfortable working with stakeholders across the business, have strong analytical skills, and take a proactive and hands‐on approach to your work.
