The Role
As our Groups Tour Operations Consultant, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts and ensuring excellent end to end service of group series and ad-hoc programmes for international group visitors.
You'll bring creativity, accuracy, product knowledge, and group operational know how to every booking – ensuring seamless travel experiences from start to finish.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem-solving, and loves sharing the best of Australia with the world.
What you will be doing
* Create tailor-made itineraries for international group travellers across Australia.
* Prepare accurate group series and ad-hoc quotes and bookings using Tourplan.
* Communicate professionally with international agents and suppliers.
* Manage confirmations, documentation, final itineraries, and all optional tour excursions prior to and during in country visits.
* Look after full ground operations handling including on tour requests and any unforeseen tour issues and emergency situations.
* Liaise with relevant tour escorts/guides and guides services to ensure smooth operation of every tour.
* Manage the accounting and overall profitability of each groups file.
* Provide high-quality service and quick solutions for client enquiries or issues.
* Stay up to date with tourism products, experiences, and destinations.
* Be responsible for handling of emergency after-hours calls as part of operational team roster.
What you will bring
* Minimum 2 years' experience in Australian inbound tourism group consulting
* Strong destination knowledge of Australia.
* Experience with Tourplan or similar reservations system.
* Excellent communication, time management, attention to detail and ability to problem-solve.
* A proactive, customer-focused approach and genuine love of Australia and sharing it with the world.
* Team oriented, reliable and active learner.

* Fluency in another language other than English (e.g German, Spanish, French)
