Job Overview
We are seeking a seasoned leader to spearhead a strategic transformation initiative focused on enhancing our risk management and oversight practices.
This multi-faceted program aims to strengthen our risk management frameworks, improve systems and processes, and bolster oversight mechanisms that underpin our commitment to delivering exceptional member outcomes.
The successful candidate will drive the planning, establishment, and delivery of an integrated rectification plan addressing key findings from independent reviews and root cause analysis related to operational risk management, information security, IT resilience, insurance claim processing delays, fitness & propriety, and expenditure management incidents.
This role demands a senior leader with extensive program delivery expertise, stakeholder influence, risk management acumen, and a passion for driving meaningful change for members.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and lead the delivery of a comprehensive program roadmap incorporating relevant in-flight initiatives.
* Establish robust governance structures, delivery rhythms, and program architecture to drive pace, alignment, and accountability.
* Deliver structured program streams addressing uplift areas identified in independent reviews and analysis.
* Coordinate with program managers, independent experts, regulators, and other stakeholders to create detailed implementation plans, including deadlines, milestones, processes, and risk mitigation protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven senior leadership experience in large-scale transformation or complex program delivery, preferably within superannuation, financial services, or other member-oriented industries.
* Prior experience leading programs under regulatory enforcement highly beneficial.
* Extensive experience in risk management across technology, processes, people, and culture and operational design.
* Prior experience in the design and embedment of operational risk frameworks, including a 3 lines of defense model underpinned by appropriate people capability, tooling, processes, and procedures, reporting, and governance.
* Strong capability in managing strategic partnerships and co-delivery models.
* Formal qualifications in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related field. Postgraduate qualifications desirable.
