We have an enticing residential Process Control Engineer position awaiting you at the world-class KCGM Operation, which boasts a +10-year mine life. Join our esteemed technical team on a 5/2, 4/3 (9-hour days) roster for a long-term and fulfilling future.
Here's what awaits you:
* The Process Control Engineer reports to the Specialist – Operational Technology. The primary responsibility is to provide operational support and maintenance for the process control systems of the Fimiston Plant, Gidji Plant, and the Kalgoorlie Air Monitoring Network (KAMN) to ensure information generation and support process efficiency.
* Support the development and continuous improvement of Operational Technologies Systems. Proactively inform and influence stakeholders through deep technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
* Troubleshoot and resolve end-user Operational Technology System issues. Build and maintain relationships with hardware, software, and support service vendors and suppliers. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Display a clear commitment to safety and health, seeking to eliminate or control risks of injury and/or equipment damage. Participate actively in communication and awareness systems.
* Manage activities to prevent pollution and minimize environmental damage. Reduce waste generation through decreased consumption and increased re-use and recycling.
To thrive in this role, you'll need:
Experience: Minimum two (2) years' experience in a similar role, with strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to quickly learn new systems. Demonstrated ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions promptly. Solid understanding of process control fundamentals and advanced control concepts, with excellent process analysis skills.
Qualifications: Current Australian "C" Class Drivers Licence (unencumbered). A tertiary qualification in relevant engineering or related trade qualifications.
