The Opportunity
In Western Australia, the Department of Communities (Communities) is responsible for child protection, supporting vulnerable children and young people who are suspected of being abused, harmed, or neglected. Case workers at the Department currently use the Assist case management system to manage client and case records. The Assist Replacement Program was initiated in **** to create a case management system that seamlessly aligns with case practice, legislation and child protection frameworks to support practical, culturally informed and coordinated service delivery. The program will transform case management, providing more time for case workers to focus on clients, improving decision making and delivering contemporary digital technology that is responsive to changing business needs, mobile working, collaborative ways of working and future technology advances.
Key Responsibilities
As an Information Services Business Analyst you will be responsible for liaising and working with business users to define and re-design business processes and identify corresponding solution requirements while establishing appropriate expectations and the business scope.
A significant part of your role includes working collaboratively with the business and technology & development teams to recommend work solutions that meet business requirements. You will also define user requirements, authoring requirement documentation through user interviews and workshop sessions and research.
Your day to day may involve :
Supporting initiatives throughout vendor selection, the project lifecycle and implementation of business solutions.
Actively seeking to apply technologies to business processes to meet strategic goals through understanding of technology and strong business insight and experience.
Assisting with the investigation and development of advice on related policies, issues and strategic directions.
Conducting and participating in application and system usability and reviews with users.
