We’re now seeking motivated and reliable Laundry Assistants and Cleaners to join our friendly hospitality team at our modern Aged Care Residential Facility nestled in the beautiful Adelaide Hills in Uraidla.
About the Role
In this essential role, you will help maintain high standards of cleanliness across our facility while ensuring residents’ laundry is processed with care and respect.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties:
* Maintain cleanliness across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and staff facilities
* Perform general cleaning tasks including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting
* Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) procedures
* Assist with waste management and restocking supplies
Laundry Duties:
* Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and return resident clothing and facility linen
* Operate commercial washing and drying equipment safely
* Ensure correct handling and labelling of personal items
* Maintain cleanliness of the laundry area and equipment
About You
Working as part of a compassionate team, our Cleaners and Laundry Assistants contribute to the smooth running of the home and enhance the overall wellbeing and quality of life for the people we support.
You will bring:
* Previous experience in cleaning, laundry, hospitality, or aged care is highly regarded, although this is not essential.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills and a respectful, resident‑focused approach
* Physically able to perform repetitive and manual tasks
* Understanding of safe chemical handling and infection control (training provided)
* A positive, can‑do attitude
* Good time‑management and reliability
* A caring and professional approach to supporting older people
* Current or a willingness to obtain a National Police Clearance (Aged care/Vulnerable)
* Unrestricted Australian working rights are essential for this role.
