Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Estimator with expertise across both wet & dry systems to join our high-performing team. This role focuses on existing buildings - including system alterations, upgrades, and compliance-driven installations.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Estimator to support our business growth and development within the fire protection industry. In this client-facing role, you will prepare accurate and competitive quotes and tenders, partner with our sales and operations teams to develop effective sales strategies, and contribute to overall business development initiatives.
This is a pivotal role that combines technical knowledge with strategic input, requiring strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and industry expertise.
* Position: Estimator - Full Time Permanent
* Location: Northmead Office, Sydney
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop accurate cost estimates and proposals for fire protection works, including system repairs, upgrades, and new installations involving hydrants, sprinklers, automatic fire detection.
* Conduct thorough evaluations of existing systems to ensure compliance with relevant codes and AFSS (Annual Fire Safety Statement) requirements.
* Liaise effectively with clients, project managers, and suppliers to align on scope, timelines, and deliverables.
* Interpret technical drawings and produce block plans as required for documentation and approvals.
* Contribute to design optimisation by identifying value-engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies without compromising regulatory compliance.
* Provide technical insights and design support to internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience as an Estimator, or similar related position in the Fire Industry.
* Proven experience estimating wet & dry fire systems
* Strong knowledge of BCA, NCC & Australian Standards (AS1851, AS2118, AS2419, AS1670 etc.) and fire compliance.
* Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
* Experience with pricing software (e.g., Uptick, Cubit, Excel, AutoCAD or similar)
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management
