Livestock SA is looking for a new Member & Communications Manager to deliver strategic communications, member engagement activities and management of the CRM database. This role plays a key part in maintaining the organisation’s visibility, supporting advocacy priorities and ensuring high-quality service and information to members. This parental leave position is offered as a full-time, one-year contract.
Role & Responsibilities
* Deliver Livestock SA’s communications strategy across digital, print and media channels
* Develop and write media releases, newsletters and other communications to engage stakeholders and promote key messages
* Manage social media accounts and maintain the organisation’s website
* Coordinate media opportunities and manage event communications
* Adhere to the organisation’s style guide when producing branded collateral
* Monitor relevant news and policy developments that may impact members
* Prepare communication reports and analytics for the Board and CEO
* Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to identify and create meaningful content
* Manage membership enquiries and support producers with information and services
* Manage and maintain the CRM membership database
* Support recruitment and retention of members through tailored communications
* Manage and distribute membership materials and surveys
* Represent the organisation professionally in dealings with members, media, and stakeholders
* Participate in team meetings, strategic planning, and industry events as required
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated professional experience and qualifications in communications, media, or marketing
* Strong written, visual and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy in writing, editing and formatting content
* High-level proficiency with website CMSs, social media platforms, and CRM systems
* Ability to prioritise and manage competing tasks under minimal supervision
* Knowledge of agriculture and rural issues (livestock industry preferred)
* Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong, professional relationships with members, media and partners
* Experience in writing media releases, newsletters and social media posts
* Drivers licence
