 
        
        Legal Counsel - Construction & Infrastructure Lawyer - Renewables 
Exceptional opportunity for a Legal Counsel to join this leading multinational Renewable Energy organisation. 
Reporting into the General Counsel will work closely with the Procurement, Engineering & Construction teams to draft, negotiate and deliver all key contracts necessary to finance, construct and operate renewable projects. It would suit a Legal Counsel/ Senior Lawyer with a background in construction or infrastructure. 
Key Responsibilities: 
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of key contracts, including, EPC, O&M;, development agreements, energy, green rights sales and complex construction contracts. 
- Provide legal advice to the company on matters such as land acquisition, FIRB compliance, and M&A; activity. 
- Work with external law firms to obtain legal advice and support when required. 
- Manage legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 
- Collaborate with other departments within the company to provide legal support and guidance. 
The Ideal Candidate: 
- 4-7 years PQE 
- Legally qualified and current practicing certificate. 
- Top-tier/ mid-tier law firm experience with relevant construction or infrastructure experience. 
- Ability to understand commercial objectives and implement legal strategies to facilitate achievement of commercial objectives. 
- Ability to structure projects and contracts to maximise the commercial and legal benefit to the business. 
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills. 
- A robust understanding of construction and operations contracts, land acquisition, FIRB compliance, and M&A; activity.
