**Role Summary**:
The role of the Home Care Support Worker is to provide support to our aged care clients who reside in their own homes. This means transporting clients to appointment, domestic tasks such as house cleaning, as well as assistance with daily living tasks, personal care needs, medication administration or the preparation and serving of meals. It will also include reporting back to coordinators on the progress of care and client satisfaction with services. Support workers are tasked with providing person-centered care aimed at maintaining the independence and happiness of their clients.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Taking clients out for social outings and activities, shopping trips or GP/ specialist appointments
- Servicing clients at their respective homes with activities of daily living such as toileting, showering, and dressing
- Light domestic duties and meal preparation/ eating assistance
- Medication administration duties
- Liaising with the families and representatives of your client as required
**Skills, Attributes and Experience**:
**As well as the above skills, the Key Requirements include**:
- Previous experience providing care to clients who require manual handling and the use of hoists
- National Police Clearance
- Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle
