As a Community Care Worker, you'll empower individuals on their AOD recovery journey, providing compassionate support, advocating for their needs, and helping them build essential life skills. You'll also support families as they navigate this process.
Your role involves collaborating with health professionals, government agencies, and support networks to enhance client outcomes. You will use your assessment skills to support clients on our wait list, ensure smooth intakes into our residential rehabilitation facility, and facilitate psycho educational groups.
Additionally, you'll handle data reporting and participate in service monitoring and evaluation, ensuring compliance with the Human Services Quality Framework and the National Quality Framework for Alcohol and Other Drugs.
We have a Permanent, Full-time (38 hours per week) and Permanent, Part-time position available. Please include a cover letter with your preferred position. This position is based in Greater Brisbane and will be working across our residential facilities and in the community.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:
* Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Alcohol & other Drugs, Mental Health, or similar
* Experience in developing and delivering comprehensive individual and group programs to support individuals recovering from drug and alcohol dependencies, as well as their families.
* Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society.
