The Opportunity:
We are seeking a curious and driven Business Analyst to join our specialist Government AI team in Canberra. In this role, you will be a power user of the Turium AI platform, applying its advanced capabilities to solve critical analytical problems for our government clients. You will transform complex datasets into clear, actionable intelligence.
This is not just a data role; you are a translator and a storyteller. You will work directly with government stakeholders to understand their missions, shape their analytical questions, and deliver insights that inform key decisions. What you'll do:
* Utilise the Turium AI platform to perform advanced analysis on large and complex government datasets.
* Collaborate with clients to define their analytical needs, intelligence questions, and desired outcomes.
* Interpret AI-driven outputs, identify significant trends, anomalies, and correlations, and translate them into actionable insights.
* Develop and present compelling reports, interactive dashboards, and briefings for senior government stakeholders.
* Design and build analytical workflows and models within the Turium platform to address specific client challenges.
* Work closely with data engineers to ensure data sources are prepared and optimised for analysis.
* Provide expert feedback to our product and engineering teams to help shape the future of the Turium AI platform.
What You'll Bring:
* Must be an Australian Citizen.
* Must be eligible to hold current Australian Government Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance.
* Proven experience in a data analyst, intelligence analyst, business intelligence analyst, or similar analytical role.
* Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and solve problems using complex data.
* Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a proven ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Demonstrated experience in structuring analytical problems and delivering end-to-end insights.
* The ability to work full-time, on-site in our Canberra office.
What Will Make You Stand Out:
* Prior experience in an analytical role within the Australian Government, Defence, or National Security community.
* A strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical applications in data analysis.
* Proficiency in data querying languages such as SQL.
* Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
