About the Salvation Army, a Christian movement and one of Australia's largest charities, we believe in transforming lives and futures for the better. We find new ways to make a difference from personal crisis to national grief, providing support, safety, community and opportunity.
As part of a supportive team that believes in hope, dignity and walking alongside people, you'll have a direct impact on people's lives. The Doorways program helps people in our community who are struggling, whether it's financial stress or other challenges.
Our approach is strength-based and trauma-informed, believing in people's resilience and capacity to grow. You'll be working closely with local Aboriginal communities, understanding their culture and traditions.
Key responsibilities include conducting phone interviews and assessments following Doorways guidelines, deciding on assistance based on each person's needs, and linking them with relevant services through referrals and advocacy.
To succeed in this role, you'll need experience in community services, strong communication and relationship-building skills, as well as a genuine passion for supporting people in need.
As a registered NFP, we offer flexible working conditions, salary packaging and more. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team making a real difference in the lives of others.
