Details: VisitCanberra leads the ACT and capital region tourism industry to create and implement marketing and partnership programs to grow tourism's value to the ACT economy.
The primary objective of the Senior Director, Marketing is to lead, plan, and manage the delivery and evaluation of international and domestic marketing strategies, programs, and activities for VisitCanberra.
This role requires aligning marketing activities with other areas of Economic Development and external stakeholders, supporting strategic and marketing plans to promote the CBR Brand. Effective leadership and management of the Marketing Unit's planning and operations, including human and financial resources, are essential.
The Senior Director will establish and manage relationships with industry and strategic partners to maximize marketing opportunities, promote collaboration across the organization, and contribute to industry-wide destination marketing initiatives. Representing VisitCanberra in various forums is another key responsibility.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or business are highly desirable.
* A strong understanding of the Tourism Industry.
* Current Australian driver’s license.
* Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 11 March 2026, with possible extension or permanency. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. The position will move to a new activity-based working environment, offering flexible working options including hybrid, part-time, job-sharing, and flexible hours.
