Your Opportunity
Play a key role in a long-standing trade hardware business. Use your industry knowledge, retail know-how and practical leadership to strengthen operations and expand customer relationships. This role is ideal for someone who understands the trade or industrial hardware market and enjoys being involved in all aspects of store activity - stock, suppliers, workflow, presentation and customer service. You'll support a small team, keep the shop running smoothly and help us stay competitive as the local market grows.
Responsibilities
* Supporting and guiding a small team
* Ensuring daily operations run efficiently
* Building relationships with trade customers, expanding the base and driving sales
* Strengthening supplier relationships
* Overseeing purchasing, stock control and store workflow
* Managing store layout and presentation
* Looking for practical ways to improve processes and grow repeat business
Qualifications
* Market knowledge of trade hardware, tools, industrial supplies or similar
* Good communication, practical leadership and positive attitude
* Previous retail or store management experience
* A hands-on approach and pride in keeping things running well and meeting targets
