The Opportunity
Due to continued growth and new contract wins, we are seeking a Field Service Electrician to join our team.
This role is ideal for an Electrical Mechanical Fitter with field service experience, or an electrician looking to move into a more diverse, hands‐on role. Our work goes beyond typical electrical tasks and includes a strong focus on maintenance, diagnostics, and control systems.
You'll be supported by an experienced team and given the opportunity to develop specialist skills in generator systems.
What You'll Be Doing
* Perform major and minor servicing on generator systems to ISO9001 and ISO14001 standards
* Carry out fault finding and control system upgrades (primarily DSE and ComAp)
* Conduct load bank testing and commissioning of generator systems
* Install generators, cabling, ATS systems, and switchboards
* Build and repair Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
* Perform mechanical servicing (oil changes, general maintenance, cleaning, repairs)
* Prepare and commission new generator sets (pre‐delivery)
* Maintain and manage hire fleet equipment
* Liaise with clients on‐site and provide high‐quality service
* Travel to regional/remote sites (LAHA provided)
About You
You are a trade‐qualified Electrical Mechanical Fitter or Electrician who:
* Takes pride in delivering high‐quality work
* Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
* Is eager to learn and expand into control systems and generator technology
* Enjoys problem‐solving and working both independently and within a team
* Values leaving equipment and sites in top condition
This role is especially suited to someone looking for a change from standard electrical work, with a focus on scheduled maintenance in clean, standby environments.

What We're Looking For
* Electrical trade qualification (essential)
* Strong safety focus
* Good communication and customer‐facing skills
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
* Basic computer skills (job management systems, email, etc.)
* Manual driver's licence
* Ability to work autonomously
Highly Regarded (but not essential)
* PLC or control system experience
* Generator or power generation experience
* Forklift licence
Mandatory Requirements
* Must meet QLD Health vaccination requirements (including minimum COVID vaccination)
* Police check required (due to work in hospitals and aged care facilities)
* Must supply own hand and battery tools (specialist tools provided)
