Who Are We?
Buller Holidays Apartments (BHA) plays a key role in delivering high-quality, seamless accommodation experiences for guests seeking both leisure and adventure in an alpine setting. Our department is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining strong relationships with apartment owners, and collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure operational efficiency – in a nutshell, we coordinate bookings in and maintain some pretty amazing apartments around the mountain. By integrating premium apartment accommodation with the mountain's natural environment, BHA contributes to enhanced guest satisfaction and supports sustainable tourism outcomes within the region.
Your Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
* Deliver next-level customer service that leaves guests smiling (and coming back)
* Keep guest reservations accurate, organised, and running smoothly
* Follow BH Apartments & BSL policies
* Be a communication whiz — chatting with guests and owners via phone and email about everything from bookings to apartment details
* Send out pre-arrival info, chase up registrations, and be the go-to Mount Buller expert (lift passes, transport, activities, food & drinks — you will know it all!)
* Work side-by-side with the wider Hotel team to keep things ticking along
* Inspect apartments before check-in to ensure everything is guest-ready – handy to have some general cleaning experience
* Build and maintain great relationships with apartment owners
* Get your steps in! Walk to apartments around the mountain in all kinds of weather
* Stay organised, professional, and on top of tasks — even when things get busy
* Treat guests, teammates, and partners with respect, patience, and understanding
* Follow daily direction from the Apartments Coordinator and Manager, including handling the occasional curveball
What We Need From You:
* At least 12 months' experience in hotel reception or admin work (preferred but not essential)
* A strong customer service background — including confidently handling tricky situations
* Valid Driver's Licence – snow driving experience is desirable
* Solid computer skills (Outlook essential; GuestCentrix, Windcave, AirBnB & Booking.com experience is a bonus)
* Excellent communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
* A knack for quick problem-solving and knowing what action to take
* Experience processing payments and deposits online
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
* Great attention to detail and multitasking skills
* Physical stamina for walking around the resort, including inclines and less-than-perfect weather
* Strong organisation and time management skills
* Knowledge of Mount Buller, the Aussie ski scene, or alpine tourism (highly regarded)
* A positive, "can-do" attitude
* Flexibility, punctuality, and commitment to your roster
* A calm, friendly approach — even under pressure
* Resilience and adaptability to handle new or challenging situations, including living in a remote location
