The Role
We’re seeking a Casual Factory Processor to join our operations team at Mareeba. This is a hands on role supporting both factory processing and farm activities, ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety and being part of a production team.
You’ll be involved in transforming harvested leaf into high-quality dried spices, oils and hydrosols, while maintaining food safety, quality and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor processing equipment (dryers, stills and related machinery)
* Record production and quality data accurately
* Weigh, pack, seal and label finished products
* Prepare orders for dispatch, including palletising
* Maintain cleanliness of production and storage areas
* Assist with farm tasks such as harvesting and general field work
* Follow all food safety, quality assurance and WHS procedures
* Operate a forklift safely (where licensed)
Skills & Experience
* Interest in practical, hands-on work
* Experience working with machinery or in a factory / farm environment (preferred)
* Forklift licence desirable (or willingness to obtain)
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
* Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions
* Reliable, safety focused and detail oriented
* Ability to work well within a team and follow instructions
