**Are you an experienced Machinery Operator wanting a better deal and a cropping program to take charge of?**
OR
**Are you a merino sheep enthusiast that wants to be working in a class leading stud and commercial operation?**
Well we have both available with this 'top class' family owned and operated mixed farming operation.
With a focus on stud and commercial merinos they run over 5,500 self-replacing ewes (45% stud ewes) and lambing numbers up to 7,000 per year. Across an aggregation of approx. 2,000 Ha they have 2 close knit properties which support the intensive livestock enterprise with dual cropping operations and pasture improvements.
Livestock role: To ensure efficiencies they have made vast infrastructure improvements including recent 6 stand ProWay woolshed, new yards, amazing undercover sheep and ram handling facilities for ease of management with the use of auto drafters, sheep handlers etc. This position will suit an either an experienced senior station hand or someone starting out wishing to gain development in commercial sheep operations and high-level exposure in the merino stud industry.
Cropping Opportunity: Take charge of approx. 800Ha annual rotational broadacre cropping and pastures with up to date machinery and equipment making operations effective and efficiency at all levels.
Either position will suit someone who is highly organised, self-reliant and enthusiastic and want responsibility.
The owners are young, fit and motived with high school age children and they are keen to keep the same energetic culture with their team. Their mindset is to secure staff that want to work with them - not for them.
**Livestock - Key Aspects**
- Assist in all the operational aspects of the livestock and involvement in annual stud sale
- Accurate recording of livestock numbers & movements & recording of husbandry procedures undertaken (AgriWebb, Sapien Technology)
- All aspects of feeding, nutrition & animal health programs
- Experience working with sheep essential
- Own working dogs essential
- A robust work ethic, with the ability to work unsupervised & show initiative
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members
- Non-smokers preferred
**Cropping - Key Aspects**
- Control all operational aspects of the cropping operations
- Pasture management & spray operations (incl. weed and pest control)
- ChemCert accreditation
- Drivers and HR licence
- Fencing & property maintenance
- Tech savvy (already use or adapt to AgriWebb, TrueTest & GPS)
- Operation and maintenance of farm machinery
- A strong work ethic, with the ability to work unsupervised & show initiative
- Ability to work cooperatively with other team members
- Non-smokers preferred
**Remuneration and Location**
- Extremely attractive base salary based on experience
- Full on-farm package incl. modern 5-bedroom house + utilities + phone allowance.
- Fully maintained work vehicle - either single Cab Landcruiser or HiLux.
