The purpose of this role is to coordinate and implement maintenance for bulk water facilities, maintenance of safety procedures and improvement of safety at bulk water sites.
The role will coordinate and supervise the repair of bulk water facilities along with developing facility maintenance plans including painting, roof inspection and repair, signage, and road maintenance and provide project and funding recommendations to the manager.
The role has a requirement to be available as required, for on-call and overtime arrangements, including weekends, to resolve out of hours operational issues or emergency works.
Our ideal candidate will have:
* Knowledge of water treatment processes.
* Knowledge of SCADA systems and their application to the water industry.
* Knowledge of pipeline materials and repair techniques.
* Knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing and electrical repairs.
* Sound knowledge of maintenance procedures and techniques applicable to a water system facilities and infrastructure.
* Ability to implement and supervise workplace health and safety requirements in the field, in particular confined space entry procedures. Permit issuing and LOTO requirements (desirable).
* Ability to work as part of a team and to supervise field staff.
* Ability to diagnose and rectify water system problems.
* Current “C” class driver’s licence, “HR” class driver’s licence (desirable).
* Water Operator qualification or a trade qualification in an applicable trade.
* Senior First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
* Confined Space Entry Certificate (Desirable).
* Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
* Certificate III Water Treatment (Desirable).
