My client is a well established and growing supplier of industrial waste water and water treatment solutions on the East Coast of Australia.
Right now they are looking to appoint an experienced, growth orientated and technically minded individual to their solutions sales and engineering team.
This role is a mix of account management, technical troubleshooting and new business development.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain and grow their territory.
You will be able to work from home but be expected to be on the road working your territory 3-4 days per week.
We will accept applications from candidates living anywhere in the Melbourne/Frankston/Geelong corridor however those living in the North West or South West may have an advantage.
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain existing clients through onsite technical support and troubleshooting and commercial negotiations.
Seek to grow existing accounts where possible.
Actively canvass for new business in your territory which includes actively prospecting, site surveys, preparing and submitting technical proposals and closing deals.
Work closely with other team members to leverage knowledge and opportunities.
Achieve agreed sales and territory targets.
About you
It is likely that you will have experience in the area of industrial waste water treatment from either a sales or operational perspective.
This could include chemicals or equipment.
Formal technical qualifications in a relevant discipline would be an advantage.
However above all, you will be a practical, mechanically minded, hands on type of person who can solve problems and own solutions.
Full training and support will be provided but you need to have the capacity and drive to take advantage of it.
You will naturally have good interpersonal and long term relationship building skills along with the competitive drive and entrepreneurial spirit that all good technical sales people need.
