About the role
* The Inner-City Health Programme provides health services for vulnerable groups of people living in inner-city Sydney, aimed at improving the overall health and well-being of its target populations and ultimately, the broader inner-city community.
* It is comprised of Drug Health Services (Alcohol & Drug and Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology), Mental Health Services, and Homeless Health Services.
* It provides specialist services for defined disorders, particularly those related to mental illness, addictions, and physical health conditions associated with adverse lifestyles and living circumstances.
* As a Nurse Educator you will enhance the skills and knowledge of Nursing and other clinical staff working within Inner City Health services.
* You will be responsible for education portfolios/programs within Inner City Health and education delivered is current and based on the best available evidence.
About you
* Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency.
* Relevant post-graduate education qualifications or relevant post- graduate clinical qualifications with a Cert IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards).
* Demonstrated experience as a registered nurse in either homeless health, drug health or mental health.
* Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and evaluate education programs, using knowledge of innovative educational strategies, tools and approaches including e-learning.
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team and demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in their daily practice as a nurse educator.
