Latrobe Regional Health is looking for Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Timbarra) to join our growing team on a part-time fixed term basis for 6 months.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Timbarra) supports management, coordination, and development of the Timbarra Unit (Paediatrics), ensuring high-quality care across Paediatrics and the Special Care Nursey. The role provides leadership, promotes a safe and positive culture, and contributes to effective patient flow and resource management across the unit.

The role of the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (Timbarra) is:

* Promote a safe culture and uphold LRH values in daily practice.
* Manage staff and resources effectively, including tangible assets.
* Oversee bed management in coordination with the HOC team to optimise utilisation.
* Effective patient flow across LRH by liaising with ED, Theatres, and other units.
* Support in achieving NEAR and WIES targets through efficient discharge planning and occupancy optimisation.
* Contribute to leadership, HR management, staff development, and adherence to professional, legislative, and safety standards.

About you

Ideal candidates for this role will have:

* Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA with demonstrated experience working in Paediatrics or Special Care Nursey.
* Demonstrates integrity, strong communication skills, and effective teamwork and collaboration.
* Leadership experience in supporting clinical response and exposure to management roles.
* Strong time management skills and ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
* Flexible and adaptable to unit needs, organisational change, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Post graduate qualifications in Paediatrics or Special Care Nursery (desirable).
