The successful candidate will be responsible for aggressively growing and developing our market share in the Indian market. This role is focused on building strong relationships with customers, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting our distributor partners throughout the sales and business cycle.
As a District Sales Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the sales cycle at the end user and distributor levels. You will also be responsible for communicating and supporting corporate initiatives to end users and distributors. This position includes identifying, managing, and evaluating current and new distribution channels.
* Sales and Business Development: Sell gas detection solutions through distribution and directly to customers in India, generate new sales opportunities, and increase self-generated new sales leads across both iNet and traditional sales.
* Prospecting and Relationship Building: Identify new prospective contacts through online research, outbound sales prospecting calls, referrals, event attendance, and other sales campaign activities (digital marketing, exhibitions where Industrial Scientific participates).
* Customer Service and Support: Provide sales and technical assistance to customers as and when needed, ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, and maintain a high level of product and vendor knowledge.
* Performance Metrics and Reporting: Reach sales goals as set by management, develop a customer base necessary to meet all sales forecasts and budgets, and document all planned and completed activities.
Key qualifications for this role include:
* Minimum of 15 years of full-time work experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
* Goal-oriented, highly ethical, and acts with integrity
* Motivation and creativity to successfully reach prospects and build conversations
* Organizational skills and a results-oriented self-starter attitude
* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals
* Demonstrated commitment to customer service
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications particularly PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred qualifications include:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field
* Gas detection experience (sales, customer service, or technical support)
* Work experience in a customer-facing, direct-selling capacity. Sales management (experience leading a team) or Product Management experience would be advantageous
* Experience working with and supporting distribution sales channels
* Proficient in Salesforce.com
