This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a contract role in a high-performing Local Government team, working across one of Queensland’s most desirable coastal regions. You’ll enjoy a varied, field-based role with strong community engagement and a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate complaints and enforce Local Laws and relevant State legislation
* Conduct patrols across public spaces including beaches, parks and roads
* Manage compliance matters including:
o Animal management (dogs, cats, livestock)
o Abandoned vehicles and vessels
o Illegal parking, camping and signage
o Littering, overgrown land and public amenity issues
* Issue warnings and infringement notices, and prepare evidence for legal proceedings
* Impound animals and items where required
* Provide clear, professional advice to members of the public
About You You’re an experienced compliance or local laws professional who can confidently operate in a community-facing enforcement role.
To be successful, you will have:
* Certificate IV in Government (Statutory Investigation and/or Animal Management) or equivalent experience
* Demonstrated experience in Local Government compliance, ranger services or similar
* Strong working knowledge of relevant legislation and enforcement processes
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage challenging situations
* Strong time management and ability to work autonomously in the field
* Current C Class Driver’s Licence
