This role leads large and complex clinical governance services across multiple sites including residential aged care, community services, disability, and mental health programs. The position ensures consistent application of clinical standards and regulatory compliance across diverse service settings. Working collaboratively with service leaders and multidisciplinary teams, the Clinical Consultant leads the coordination of quality programs, implements evidence-based practices, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires leadership of complex services across geographically dispersed locations while maintaining quality standards. Reporting to the General Manager – Clinical Governance, this position provides clinical expertise and specialist knowledge to support WMQ’s compliance and quality outcomes. The role participates as a member of the management team and is influential in future planning strategies to meet the changing needs of the service and WMQ. Lead large and complex clinical governance services across multiple sites, providing strategic direction and oversight. Champion evidence‑based practice and act as the organisation’s subject matter expert in clinical governance. Develop, implement and evaluate clinical governance programs that drive safety, quality, and service excellence. Lead clinical audit programs, including oversight of recommendations and continuous improvement actions. Provide strategic leadership in clinical risk management, including incident investigation and root cause analysis. Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and regulatory requirements across all clinical governance functions. Mentor, develop, and support clinical governance capability across multidisciplinary teams. Influence organisational planning, innovation and future service models through expert governance advice and evidence‑based insights. What We’re Looking For Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Bachelor of Nursing with minimum 10 years clinical experience including leadership roles Demonstrated experience leading large and/or complex services across multiple sites Proven ability to participate as a member of management teams Experience being influential in future planning strategies in healthcare settings Strong knowledge of clinical governance and quality frameworks Understanding of regulatory requirements across aged care, disability and community services Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and build consensus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities A Valuable Addition, Yet Not a Must-Have!
