We are currently seeking a Groundskeeper / Gardener to join the team at Golden Ponds, our beautiful village in Forster. Set across 32 acres of landscaped grounds, this role plays a key part in maintaining the high standards of presentation that make our communities special.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys caring for large, established gardens and outdoor spaces.
The Role
Working as part of the village team, you will be responsible for maintaining the extensive grounds and gardens to ensure they remain safe, attractive and well-presented for residents and visitors.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Maintaining lawns, gardens, hedges and landscaped areas across the villagePlanting, pruning, mulching and general horticultural careOperating and maintaining gardening equipment and toolsManaging irrigation systems and ensuring gardens remain healthy year-roundIdentifying and addressing pest, weed or plant health issuesSupporting the upkeep of pathways, outdoor areas and village surroundsWorking safely and maintaining a clean, organised work environment
About You
We are looking for someone who brings practical horticultural knowledge and enjoys working outdoors in a community environment. Ideally, you will have:
A horticultural or landscaping backgroundExperience maintaining large gardens, parks, estates or similar environmentsKnowledge of plant care, pruning techniques and seasonal garden maintenanceConfidence using gardening tools and equipmentA strong work ethic and attention to detailThe ability to work independently and manage tasks across a large siteA friendly, respectful approach when interacting with residents
