The Shire proudly won the 2022 Tidiest Towns Award and is now looking to expand its Works and Services team with a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Grader Operator / All Rounder.

This position is based in Gascoyne Junction, offering a balanced 11-hour days, 10 days on / 4 days off roster.
Essential Criteria:
· Experience in road construction or earthworks.
· Proven skills in maintenance grading unsealed roads.
· Mechanically minded, with the ability to perform basic plant maintenance.
· Comfortable working and living in a remote location.
· Strong communication, time management, and conflict resolution skills.
· Experience working with culturally diverse communities.
· A current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months).
· Hold a current HC class driver's license.
· Ability to work unsupervised and take direction effectively.
· Capable of performing other manual duties as required.
Desirable Criteria:
· Experience in Local Government.
· Forklift High Risk License.
· Traffic management and worksite management experience.
· MC class driver's license.
· First Aid Certificate.
Salary & Benefits:
· Annual Salary: $100k - $110k (dependent on experience and qualifications).
· Superannuation: 12% Super Guarantee.
· Salary Sacrifice Super Scheme: Access as per policy (5%).
· Annual Leave: 5 weeks.
· Housing: Provided (valued at approximately $7,800 p/a).
· Utilities: Covered (valued at approximately $2,500 p/a).
· Uniform Allowance: $700 p/a.
