The Financial Analysis Manager will play a crucial role in delivering financial insight, business analysis, and decision support to drive improved profitability and productivity across the organisation. Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:
- High-Impact Analysis & Performance Management: Analyse variances, trends, and KPIs to monitor financial and operational performance across the transactional landscape. Develop and refine financial models to improve accuracy and insight. Help drive accountability for performance across business units through clear reporting.
- Strategic Finance & Decision Support: Provide financial insight and modelling to support strategic choices and investment decisions. Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leaders.
- Expert Use of Excel & Financial Systems: Utilise expert-level Excel skills to design and deliver innovative financial/commercial analysis, including budget management, forecasting, and on-demand planning. Implement improvements to financial systems, models, and tools to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering: Build strong relationships with operational and functional leaders, providing proactive financial guidance. Act as a constructive challenger, supporting robust, data-driven decision-making. Present complex insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders, tailoring communication to the audience.
- Leadership & Team Development: Provide day-to-day leadership, guidance, and oversight to a team of primarily Management Accountants (direct reports). Review and ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of financial outputs.
What You Will Bring:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Finance or Commerce disciplines.
- Highly competent to lead, design, and deliver innovative financial/commercial analysis.
- Demonstrated expertise in Excel is non-negotiable for complex modelling and analysis. Expert skills in budget management control, forecasting, and on-demand planning. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail—you will proactively pick up errors and exceptions in reports.
